Where
Does the Bible Say Baptism Takes Away Our Sins?
When the curious crowd in
“Do penance [show you’re sorry for your sins], and be baptized every one of you in the
name of Jesus Christ, for the remission [forgiveness] of sins…”
Acts 2:38b-d PDRC, brackets & highlighting added in scriptural quotes)
And when Paul many years later explains to an angry crowd in
“And now why do you tarry [wait]? Rise up, and be baptized, and wash away your sins…”
(Acts 22:16a-c PDRC)
Other verses say something similar. These are just two of the
most obvious.
