Understanding Truth

Why Did God Make People Free to Lie?

Because God made human beings to look like Him. We aren’t really God, but we are His Reflection.

Part of looking like God is knowing the difference between Good & Evil. In the Garden of Paradise, the first people --- Adam & Eve --- chose evil and learned to tell lies.

God didn’t want this since He doesn’t tell lies. He wants people to be just like Him, always choosing good.

Yet part of being like God is knowing about Good & Evil and being able to choose between the two.
