Understanding Church

Aren’t You Making Heaven Sound Religious, Like a Temple & Everything?

Heaven is religious, with a Temple & everything! The Bible says about those who are saved out of the Great Tribulation at the end of the world:

“Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple…” (Apocalypse [Revelation] 7:15a-b PDRC, any brackets & highlighting added in scriptural quotes)

So there is a Temple in Heaven, and people serve God there “day and night” endlessly! Elsewhere the Bible says:

“And another angel came, and stood before the altar, having a golden censer, and… was given… much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar, which is before the throne of God… And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple…” (Apocalypse [Revelation] 8:3, 11:19a-b PDRC)

Altar, censer, incense, ark of the testament, temple… these are religious things. And they’re all in Heaven, part of what God has members of His Church Body, His Servants, do for Him, “day and night”, endlessly, in His Temple forever!
