Understanding Church

But Isn’t the Church Just a Bunch of Dead Ritual, People Trying on Their Own to Reach God?

The Church is God’s Body. It is first of all the Body of Christ, and not just a body ‘of people’.

So the Church is God reaching down to save human beings, and not just people, all on their own, trying to reach God.

What’s more, since the Church is a Body, then --- like any body! --- it is organized to work together for a common purpose. After all, how can a body even be a body if all of its parts don’t work together to do what they’re supposed to do?

This is what the ‘ritual’ of the Church is all about. It’s what God Himself designed His Body to do:

That all of the parts of His Body work together in order to save the souls of those who belong to it.
