I’m Blown Away --- How Can Jesus & His Church Be One Flesh?

You should be blown away… it’s amazing. I’ve been in Jesus’ Church for ten years now and I’m still blown away by it.

But we’re really not meant to understand it --- not yet, not totally here on earth at least. After talking in Ephesians 5 about husband & wife being one body by being “two in one flesh” (Genesis 2:24 PDRC), the Bible goes on to say:

“This is a great sacrament [mystery]; but I speak in [talk about] Christ and in [about] the church.” (Ephesians 5:32 PDRC, brackets & highlighting added in scriptural quotes)

So it’s a Mystery… and maybe the good member of God’s Body will understand totally someday in Heaven. Until then, do everything you can to be a member of His Church, do everything you can to be married to Jesus Christ!
