Understanding Church

So the Church Is Also Jesus’ Wife?

Without a doubt. The Bible says:

“Because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church.” (Ephesians 5:23a-b PDRC, any brackets & highlighting added in scriptural quotes)

So Jesus Christ is the Husband of His Church. But Jesus is called “the Lamb of God” (John 1:29, 35-36 PDRC), too, which is why the Bible says about Him as well:

“And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem… prepared as [like] a bride adorned for her husband And there came one of the seven angels… and spoke with me, saying: ‘Come, and I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” (Apocalypse [Revelation] 21:2a, c, 9a, c-d PDRC)

The “new Jerusalem” is just another name for Jesus’ Church, which is His Bride & His Wife. And the Bible tells us about husband & wife: “…a man… shall cleave [join] to his wife: and they shall be two in one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24 PDRC)
